Dirty Spicy Rice

Here at Rozie's Foods we know how to make it spicy and dirty, another Cajun recipe using Rozie's Hot RelSa to elevate a classic. Rozie's Hot RelSa in Cajun dishes saves prep time, money and adds flavor!



Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 pound chicken livers, chopped

1/2 pound hot pork sausage

1/2 small red bell pepper, diced

1/2 small green bell pepper, diced

1/3 cup Rozie's Hot RelSa

1 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper

2 cups chicken stock, heated in saucepan

2 bay leaves

5 cups cooked rice

Fresh minced parsley to garnish


Directions:

In a large heavy skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped chicken livers and sausage and cook, stirring occasionally until the meat is browned, 5-8 minutes.

Add the red and green bell peppers, RelSa, pepper and cook, stirring frequently for 5 minutes.

Add chicken stock and bay leaves, bring to a boil the lower to simmer.

Add the rice and stir thoroughly. Cook until the rice is heated through, 5-10 minutes.

Remove from the heat and remove bay leaves.


Garnish with parsley and serve.
